What happens after 2 year contract of cell phone?

Question by easterstarship: What happens after 2 year contract of cell phone?
Most cell phone communication company will give you a free cell phone if you sign up for 2 year service with them, what about after the 2 year contract is finished, can you cancel the cell phone service and then sign up again and get a free cell phone again with 2 year contract? So you basically get a free cell phone every 2 years? Does it work like that?

Does he have a computer? a laptop? If so then get Skype, he can call for Free to the US computer to computer or he can pay $ 5.95 a month and get a US # then call Canada and US for free as much as he wants. Sometimes cell phone plans can add up and it is expensive.

the verizon guy is right, in a way. You can only unlock a phone that uses a sim card, for use with any sim card.
Since Verizon doesn’t use these, it can’t be done for them. at&t phones you can unlock-which means take the network restrictions off-and use a TMobile sim card, or even use it overseas. Or vice versa.

Sprint cell phone question?

Question by CHIDO ONE: Sprint cell phone question?
I got 1 HTC Hero and 1 Samsung Instinct s30 in my Sprint account, 7 days ago I lost my Hero and I filed the insurance claim so I received my Hero replacement already programmed with my phone number. The point is that yesterday I found my original Hero so now I am wondering if I could replace the Samsung one for either the new or the original Hero. Can Sprint program my two Heros on my two lines even if one of them was a replacement?

Best answer:

Answer by Braindead Brainiac
1. Once the Hero was replaced, your original Hero was placed in a “negative file”, meaning that the phone is reported as lost/stolen. As a result, the phone is permanently deactivated from activation, even by you. Exception is indicated in #2.

2. You may keep your lost and found Hero if you choose; you will need to contact Sprint Customer care for this issue to get the Hero activated. The replacement phone is expected back by Asurion. If you do decide to keep your old phone and Asurion does not get the phone they sent you, they will charge you retail price for the phone, less the deductible that you have paid.

3. You can keep the old Hero as a paperweight and move on.
